Kobelco fuel efficient for every operation

Kobelco customers operate in every part of the earthmoving industry but at the end of the day, they all want the same things from their machines: reliability, outstanding support and exceptional efficiency.

Three customers tell us why they choose Kobelco excavators.

Ian’s Digga Hire – Queensland

Ian Walsh from Ian’s Digga Hire has been driving diggers in QLD for more than 20 years and specialises in retaining walls and golf courses. He uses his Kobelco SK135SR on all types of earthmoving and says the zero swing and 600 kg counter balance makes it ideal for the work he does and offers significant fuel savings.

Ian says, “The Kobelco SK135SR has great safety and stability. Because the machine isn’t moving around so much, it’s more accurate and better to trim with. It’s easy to load trucks because I can push the arm out further, and it won’t tip.

“My SK135SR is great on fuel, and my mate has a bigger Kobelco that is just as good. Kobelco fuel economy is out of this world compared to others.”

Ian receives excellent service from his dealer, Chesterfield Australia, and he is impressed with Kobelco’s drive to improve its products. “Kobelco is a step ahead. I would never buy anything else,” adds Ian.

Natural Stone Constructions (NSC) – Australia

Charlie Harris founded Melbourne-based Natural Stone Constructions (NSC), 27 years ago. NSC does large scale projects including highway overpass rock beaching, large retaining walls, stone pillars, rock revetment, seawalls, breakwaters and bulk excavation. They transport and place over 100,000 tonnes of rock every year.

For the past six years Kobelco excavators have been a big part of their work force because they are superior to other brands and are good value for money.

NSC General Manager Trevor Underwood says, “They are outstanding on fuel savings and the overall presentation is superior. The cabins are also comfortable, with roll over protection and good visibility.”

Trevor adds, “Melbourne Tractors does our on-site maintenance and provides outstanding service.”

Trylow Plant Hire – New South Wales

Trylow Plant Hire was established by Thomas McGirr in 1989. Thomas has been using Kobelco excavators for the past 10 years and has 10 Kobelco excavators ranging from 14 to 35 tonnes that he hires out to large roads companies to supplement their own fleets.

Thomas started using Kobelco because he wanted a digger with a knuckle boom and was impressed with its performance and fuel efficiency, as well as the service he received from his dealer Sydney Trucks and Machinery Centre.

“If a hirer damages gear or we have a breakdown, we need the machine to be back on the road as quickly as possible. When we go to Andrew Matheson at Sydney Trucks, he endeavours to do everything and makes any issue with warranties or parts easy.
