Central Queensland Equipment Appointed Kobelco Dealer

Central Queensland Equipment (CQE) is now the Kobelco excavator dealer for Rockhampton and Mackay, with a deal finalised in December 2017.

CQE is the retail arm of SMW Group, which offers a complete plant and equipment servicing and repair solution for industry and mining.

Based out of Rockhampton, CQE services the construction, mining and road transport industries from Bundaberg to Bowen, including the Bowen and Galilee coal basins.

“CQE has a strong reputation throughout the north Queensland region, and will offer Kobelco a fast start up and the opportunity to bring our premium products to more customers in the mining and associated support industries,” says Doug McQuinn, General Manager – Sales & Service for Kobelco.

Jack Trenaman, Director of CQE, says the business decided to partner with Kobelco in order to strengthen its reputation for the supply of quality products and services in the Central Queensland area.

“Kobelco will give us a genuine edge over our competitors with its quality excavator range. Kobelco excavators will help our customers increase their bottom line and allow us to build even stronger customer relationships.

CQE started taking quotes from customers in late December, with the first Kobelco machines due for delivery to the dealership in late January 2018.

Doug McQuinn says his team is excited for another dealer to join the growing Kobelco dealer network.
