Kobelco Tas Dealer D&L Morrison Supports Cancer Council Tasmania
Kobelco Tasmania Dealer D&L Morrison Machinery Spares kindly donated pink caps in support of Hawthorn’s match-day sponsor Cancer Council Tasmania (CCT).
CCT is a non-for-profit organisation that works to minimise the incidence and impact of cancer on Tasmanians in raising awareness and offering advice and support.
A group of 100 men and women whose lives were touched by cancer wore these pink caps along with pink ponchos. To help raise awareness the group created a pink guard of honour which the Hawks ran through.
In support of CCT 16,000 fans filled the stands wearing pink ponchos, blankets, scarves and ribbons along with one male supporter spray painting his beard bright pink. Young fans also enjoyed the mascots and various fun filled activities before the match.
Through dedicated hard working volunteers the event successfully raised $11,000 for CCT to assist with cancer research education and support.
